Wild Canyon's UTV tour is a guided side-by-side drive across 115 hectares of private canyon land at KM 19.5 of the Tourist Corridor, less than 30 minutes from most Cabo hotels. One continuous route covers open desert, a dry arroyo, the Pacific coastline, canyon trails and Mexico's largest hanging bridge.
Shown: the Can-Am upgrade, selectable at checkout and subject to availability. The standard tour runs on a regular side-by-side UTV.
Up to four riders fit in one vehicle, passengers can start at age 5, and the driving itself runs about 1.5 to 2 hours. Here is what the route looks like, who can ride, how a UTV compares to an ATV, and what is included before you book.
What a UTV Tour Is, and How It Differs From an ATV
A UTV, also called a side-by-side, seats riders next to each other inside one vehicle, while an ATV is ridden astride, with a passenger sitting behind the driver. Wild Canyon runs both tours on the same private canyon land, so the choice comes down to how you want to ride and who is coming with you.
On the UTV tour you gear up, get a safety briefing from a bilingual guide, and follow that guide on one continuous drive with no long transfer between stops. You choose the configuration when you add the tour to your cart: single, double, triple or quadruple, so you can drive solo or take the whole group in one vehicle.
The Route: Five Terrains in One Drive
This is what you cross, in order, across the 115-hectare canyon.
Back at base, your ticket keeps going: free access to Wagoona Aqua Park, a self-guided visit to the certified animal sanctuary, the bike and pump tracks, free lockers, hydration stations and access to the Lion's Den restaurant.
UTV vs ATV: Which One Should You Book?
Both tours run on the same land and both include the hanging bridge, so the differences are mostly about seating, ages and vehicle choice. This is how the two compare on the official Wild Canyon pages.
| UTV tour | ATV tour | |
|---|---|---|
| How you ride | Side-by-side seating, up to 4 riders per vehicle | Single or double rider, passenger behind the driver |

| Driver | 18+ with a valid driver's license | 18+ with a valid driver's license |
| Weight range | 88-300 lb (40-136 kg) | 88-300 lb (40-136 kg) |
| Time on the route | About 1.5-2 hours of continuous driving | 1.5-2 hours riding, 3-4 hours total visit |

You do not have to pick only one. The Park Pass and the Ultimate Pass include both, and the Dual Experience and Triple Thrill let you choose both. Inside these packages the routes are split: the UTV crosses the hanging bridge but does not go to the Pacific coastline, and the ATV is the one that rides the coast. The five-terrain route described above is the standalone UTV tour.
Regular UTV or Can-Am?
The standard tour runs on a regular side-by-side UTV. As a certified BRP Experiences outfitter, Wild Canyon also offers Can-Am as a selectable upgrade at checkout, subject to availability. If you would rather have a private, all-Can-Am experience, see the Signature BRP UTV tour and its booking page.

What's Included, and What Is Charged Separately
What to Wear and Bring
Wear closed shoes that grip, like sneakers or boots, never sandals. The trail kicks up dust, so bring a bandana or buff to cover your nose and mouth, tie back long hair, and wear comfortable clothes you do not mind getting dirty.
Only 100% biodegradable sunscreen and insect repellent are allowed, to protect the canyon. Use a strap on sunglasses and hats so nothing flies off on the trail, and store your phone and loose items in the free lockers before you drive.
Booking, Cancellation and Weather
Booking direct on wildcanyon.com.mx is the only way to hold your time slot and see your complete all-in price before you arrive. See current UTV tour availability and pricing, which runs seasonal promotions.
Cancellation is free more than 48 hours before your tour, and rescheduling is free more than 24 hours ahead, subject to availability. Cancellations inside 48 hours, no-shows and late arrivals are non-refundable. Light rain does not stop the tour. If unsafe weather prevents us from operating, your booking moves to the next available date; if no date works, it stays as an open credit valid for one year.
Make It a Full Day
The UTV tour is also one of the activities inside the Park Pass, Dual Experience, Triple Thrill and Ultimate Pass, for guests who want it as part of a bigger day. If you are comparing them, read whether the Park Pass is worth it.
